![]() The visuals are fine, the music’s great…the only issues are the long wait time between turns, the lack of scenarios (and mods) and a UI that could use more streamlining. Civ VI hasn’t missed a bit and is still one of the best turn-based strategy games I’ve played this decade. Plus, the gameplay itself is still top notch. Look past that and you’ll find that there’s still a good amount of content included in the main game. It’s understandable why they aren’t free but for them to come out day and date with the main game and NOT be included together, that stung no matter how you cut it. I’m going to come out and say what’s on everybody’s mind it’s a bit disappointing that Civ VI on the PS4 doesn’t include the expansions for free. ![]() It's a good game and I have faith Sid, Fraxis, and 2K will fix this asap with a UI scale slider or some such.Sid Meier’s Civilization VI_20191206122112 This game is indeed playable and should absolutely be played even as is. Then if you scroll up or down a text pops out telling you what each icon is exactly. And again the (R1) icon for the right tray is cut off screen top right but if you hit (R1) it will pop out. What you can't see is you access this with the (△) green triangle button. If above this bottom right large circle you see a smaller circle with 1/2 of a bell on it (icon cut short) that means information is waiting for you. What you can't see is you need to hit the red "square" button to trigger turns end. If you see a arrow pointing to the right in the circle that means all units and city's have things to do and it is probably time to end your turn. If the icon is a gear you have more to do before turns end. On the bottom right of screen is a large circle. When you click on a city and the data on the bottom of the screen is cut short, again it is all in the "Reports". As was just stated ALL that data is in the reports. The information bar that's cut short on the top can be accessed via the right tray (R1) then scroll down the list to "Reports". What I do have is a Switch and a PS4 so I think I can help you play this game on a PS4 until 2K patches it (hopefully soon). But the TV works perfectly and has a great picture so I have no plans on replacing it just yet. It has no options like ratios, 4k, fit to screen, point to point, or any of the other TV fixes for this issue. I just won't be able to play it without the ability to change the screen resolution. Pre ordering this game was useless I see. You need to add in the ability to change the screen zoom for people. Because apparently in their mind console people can change it on their own. Every time I see a game ported over from PC to consoles, developers forget to add in a screen zoom feature in the settings menu. Because you can't see any of the important information you would need to play it and you can't do anything about it. If the game doesn't offer the ability to establish your own screen zoom, YOU CAN'T PLAY THE GAME. What developers consistently fail to notice, however, is that you can't do that on console. On the PC, when you can't change the UI zoom you can just simply access the game's documents and change it there. I see developers make the mistake of forgetting to add this crucial feature when porting games constantly. Because of this, I can't see any of the icons on my menu screen when playing the game. The developers have forgotten to add in the ability to manually change your screen safe area. ![]() ![]() ![]()
